THR had the scoop that the highly anticipated Spawn remake is on the right track, and it has some fresh blood involved. Specifically writing blood, as Scott Silver, Malcolm Spellman and Matthew Mixom are writing a new screenplay for the film. The news also confirms that Jamie Foxx is still attached to the star.
This is great news if you liked movies like Joker and Falcon and the Winter Soldier as Silver writes Joker–and will write the sequel joker 2–while Spellman was a writer and executive producer on Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It’s also great news that Foxx is still attached to the Spawn star, who was first announced as featured in the role in 2018.

While McFarlane said he was directing the film, he seems to backtrack a bit as he told THR, “If we have a top actor, top producers, top writers, so did you want to shoot for top directors, top filmmakers? The answer is “of course”. Let’s continue our momentum. »
Fans expecting a low-budget indie project may be pleased to note that McFarlane has made it clear that the budget could be increased slightly as they search for a new studio partner.
McFarlane has been hyping fans for days, teasing the first news would come out on Spawn yesterday, but then reversing that and saying today.
Now that we have all the details on what’s new for the project, are you more excited for a new Spawn movie? Let us know in the comments.
