Screenwriters Association (SWA) Announces This Year’s Edition of Indian Screenwriters Conference (ISC)

Bombay (Maharashtra) [India]Nov. 1 (ANI/PNN): The 6th edition of the Indian Screenwriters Conference was recently announced by the Screenwriters Association.
Registration for this edition of the conference is now open.
ISC – 6th Edition is set to be bigger than ever and promises to meet the needs of a much wider audience across India.
Mani Ratnam (Ponniyin Selvan: I, Guru, Iruvar), screenwriter, director and producer of Tamil and Hindi cinema, will be the guest of honor at the conference. The 3-day event will take place on November 10, 11 and 12, 2022, at St. Andrew’s Auditorium, Bandra (West), Mumbai.
Robin Bhatt, president of the Screenwriters Association, had a few words of encouragement for the gala. “The 6th Edition of the Indian Screenwriters Conference is an ongoing attempt by SWA to facilitate an engaging and objective discourse on the art and craft of screenwriting and lyrics and its evolving identity in the film industry. Indian.”
For the first time, the conference will also include eminent panelists from the Telugu, Tamil, Marathi and Malayalam industries, with a mission to become a pan-Indian spectacle.

The three-day conference will feature a number of panel discussions on a variety of interesting and relevant topics regarding Movies, TV, OTT and Lyrics. The heart of the discussions with the esteemed panelists will center on the art and business of screenwriting.
Vijayendra Prasad, writer of Bahubali, RRR and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and notable member of Rajya Sabha, will grace the event as a special guest.
This year’s edition will also host a number of masterclasses in screenwriting for film, television and the web. These sessions will be led by eminent writers and directors, namely Sriram Raghavan (Badlapur, Andhadhun) and Raj & DK (The Family Man, Stree).
“With global content now at our fingertips, it is imperative that creative professionals in Indian film, TV and OTT work together to understand the essence of Indian storytelling by taking it to a global level. This ISC will involve constructive discussions on analyzing the future of content in India while questioning the responsibility and identity of the writer in this changing landscape,” says Zaman Habib, Secretary General and Head of ISC, SWA.
The sixth edition of ISC is expected to be graced by a large number of screenwriters and established professionals from the film, television and OTT industries. The conference is poised to act as an excellent space for artists from diverse backgrounds to engage in a beautiful exchange of knowledge and experience.
